AlSharif X for EV Solutions has signed an agreement with Petroly, a leading provider of specialized petroleum services, to start installing electric vehicle chargers in its stations around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed on Thursday, March 3rd at the AlSharif Holding Group headquarters in Riyadh by the Deputy General Manager of ASG, Mohammed Moubaraky, and Abdulaziz Al-Qahtani, the legal head of Petroly, and in the presence of senior management and officials from both sides.

This first-of-its-kind partnership is an extension of ASG's commitment to make a qualitative contribution to the transfer of the latest clean energy technologies in the Kingdom. In the coming months, the two parties will work closely around the Kingdom to install fast chargers for electric vehicles in all Petroly stations, which are more than 70 stations, in addition to 15 others under construction, to provide the best experience for their visitors through fast-charging devices of the DC type with a power ranging from 50kW to 350kW.

Accordingly, CEO of ASG, Nawaf bin Fayez Al-Sharif, said:
“This cooperation represents a quantum leap in the field of operating EV charging points in the Kingdom.” He added, “We look forward in the group to building various partnerships that have been able to localize modern technologies and improve the level of services, as we are keen in ASX to be involved in establishing the infrastructure for charging electric vehicles as part of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, and we also aim to expand its network to more than 70 petrol stations across the Kingdom to accelerate the progress of Saudi electric and electronic vehicles.”

On that note, CEO of Petroleum Salem Belabid expressed his aspirations for enhanced cooperation in Petroly endeavors to keep pace with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to shift towards clean energy and enable electric cars: “This cooperation will contribute to achieving a number of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives such as improving services and achieving environmental sustainability.” He adds: "ASG won the project because we were convinced that they are qualified for large-scale projects, and ASX will install the first charger in one of Riyadh’s stations, taking advantage of its strategic location in the second quarter of 2022, achieving through the project a Petroly vision in providing advanced services with national competencies and solutions commensurate with the aspirations of our customers.”
